Biography

Sarah Gist has over 10 years of experience in public affairs and external relations and has worked on a wide array of issues, including highly regulated products such as cannabis and pharmaceuticals as well as workforce and education matters. 

Prior to joining the 76 team, Sarah was the Finance Director for the House Majority Project, the Colorado Democrats’ campaign arm, and a lobbyist focused on promoting thoughtful policy through stakeholder engagement practices. She also has nonprofit experience advocating for affordable student housing, at risk youth and pro-choice groups. 

Sarah graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in social welfare and a minor in public policy.

Sarah lives in Lakewood with her rescue dog Atlas, a cockapoo. In her off-time she volunteers with at-risk young adults and mentors women interested in politics. Sarah is also a serial hobbyist who has learned bow hunting, fly fishing and currently is trying to develop ideas for a new HGTV show.
